Annie was caught in a Referral for Profit Nightmare

March 18, 2011

Here is a sad example of a woman that got caught in the referral for profit system and the doctors simply wouldn’t help her.

Imagine if this was your mother or grandmother that was really depending upon one of these doctors and had no other support system?

According to Arnold S Relman, MD, former editor of The New England Journal of Medicine1, “Ethical practitioners minimize conflicts of interest by avoiding self-referral whenever possible, by conservative use of tests and procedures, and by conscientiously attempting to meet their fiduciary responsibilities to their patients.”

The fact is, as is demonstrated by Annie’s testimony, doctors that own POPTS sacrifice the patient’s needs in favor of making a few extra bucks.

Stop the Madness!
